What kind of schooling system is there in Germany? and are there any categories of secondary schools in Germany?

The school education system of Germany is quite different from other countries. In general, the school system in Germany consists of the following 4 levels:

1. Pre-School (Kindergarten)
2. Elementary/ Primary School (Grundschule)
3. Secondary School part 1 (Gymnasium/Realschule/Hauptschule/Gesamtschule)
4. Secondary School part 2 (Berufsschule/Fachoberschule/University preparation courses in Gymnasium & some Gesamtschulen)
